Acclaimed “voice actress” Sally Rainer adds broad range of voices to BBC-5’s highly successful American serial radio drama Milford-Haven.

From the savvy head of an environmental organization to an eccentric hostess of a fine restaurant, to a midwestern mama, Sally’s vocal flexibilities allow her a special opportunity to interpret many fascinating characters in this unique drama.

As one of the most accomplished film narrators and looping artists in Hollywood (hear more about her at Hollywood Voices), Sally’s credits include such well known films as “Incredible Shrinking Woman,” “A Star Is Born,” “Airplane,” “Prizzi’s Honor,” “Jaws 2” and “The Rose,” and such television dramas as “L.A. Law,” Lou Grant,” “Thirtysomething,” “The Wonder Years,” “Falcon Crest,” “War and Remembrance,” “St. Elsewhere,” – and the list goes on and on. Sally is no stranger to commercials either, both radio and television, doing spots for Chevrolet, Lloyds Bank, Bank of America, Roman Meal Bread, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. She has also done considerable work for National Public Radio and its affiliates.

As an actress and singer Sally has enjoyed success in theatrical musicals such as “Chekov,” “Amahl and the Night Visitors,” “The Little Prince,” and was the lead singer with the band “String Cheese” on RCA Records. Other credits include readings and promos for radio, as well as broadcasting a syndicated radio show “Hot News” with “Earth News” in 350 markets for two years.

In the show Sally’s primary character is “Samantha Hugo,” the gorgeous head of Milford-Haven’s Environmental Planning Commission and Joseph Calvin’s leading lady. She also plays the overwhelmed hostess of Michael’s Restaurant, a character who herself has thespian aspirations, and wins the role of “Mama” in the Milford-Haven Playhouse production of “L.A. River Anthology.” Sound complex? You haven’t heard anything until you tune in to… Milford-Haven.
